Hey everyone, December 23, 2025 – good news for tablet fans in India. Xiaomi just confirmed that the Redmi Pad 2 Pro is launching here on January 6, 2026.
The biggest thing they are talking about is the battery. It has a 12,000mAh cell. That's huge for a tablet. You can easily watch movies, attend online classes, or work for hours without looking for a charger. A full day of heavy use should be no problem. Maybe even two days if you are not pushing it too hard.
We don't have the full spec list yet. But from what launched in China earlier, we can expect a big screen, decent processor, and good speakers. Charging will likely be fast – probably 67W or more – so filling that large battery won't take all day.
This tablet is aimed at people who want something affordable but with long battery life. Students, travelers, or anyone who uses a tablet a lot will like it.
Price in India should start around ₹25,000–₹30,000, depending on the variants. Xiaomi usually keeps Redmi tablets budget-friendly.
