Hey everyone, Realme just launched the Narzo 90x 5G in India yesterday (December 16, 2025), and it's the more affordable sibling to the Narzo 90. Starting at ₹14,999 for the 6GB+128GB version (and ₹15,499 for 8GB+128GB), with some launch offers bringing it even lower, this one's clearly aimed at budget buyers who want insane battery life without breaking the bank.
I've been checking out the specs and early looks, and here's my honest opinion – it's a solid practical phone with some standout features, but a few compromises to hit that price.
Design and Look: Flashy Colors That Pop
The Flash Blue and Nitro Blue options look vibrant and youthful – that glossy finish with the gradient shine catches the eye. It's got a big 6.8-inch screen, but at around 8.3mm thick and ~212g, it doesn't feel too bulky for its size. The plastic build keeps it light, and the overall look is modern for under 15k. I like how it stands out compared to boring black slabs in this range.
Display: Smooth and Bright Enough for Daily Use
A 6.8-inch HD+ LCD with 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1200 nits HBM brightness – scrolling is super smooth (great for social media and light gaming), and it's visible outdoors without squinting too much. It's not FHD+ or AMOLED like the regular Narzo 90, so colors aren't as punchy and blacks aren't deep, but for the price? Decent. If you're coming from an older phone, the high refresh will feel like a big upgrade.
Performance: Decent for Everyday Stuff
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 (a reliable 6nm chip), with up to 8GB RAM. It's fine for multitasking, browsing, streaming, and casual games – no major lags in daily use. AnTuTu around 400k, so it's not a powerhouse, but perfect if you're not into heavy gaming. Realme UI 6.0 on Android 15 is smooth and feature-rich.
Battery Life: The Real Star Here
7000mAh with 60W fast charging – this is where it shines. Expect 2 full days of normal use easily, or a heavy day with tons of screen time. Charging is quick too. In this price segment, this battery size is hard to beat – ideal for students or anyone always on the go.
Cameras: Rear is Good, Selfie is Just Okay
Rear: 50MP main + 2MP depth – Daylight shots come out sharp with good detail and colors, low-light is acceptable with night mode. Portraits have nice edge detection.
Front: 8MP – Here's the weak spot. Selfies look soft, colors can be washed out, and detail isn't great, especially indoors. If you take a lot of selfies or video calls, this might feel underwhelming.
Other Bits
IP65 dust/water resistance (solid for the price), no eSIM (as expected), expandable storage – practical touches.
Final Thoughts: Great Value If Battery and Smoothness Are Your Priority
At ₹14,999 (with offers), the Realme Narzo 90x 5G is a strong pick for budget buyers who want epic battery life, a smooth big screen, decent performance, and good rear cameras. The design looks fun, and it's comfortable enough for most hands despite the size.
The main downsides are the HD+ LCD (not as sharp/premium), average selfie camera, and no ultra-premium vibes. But for everyday use – calls, social, videos, light games – it's spot on.
If selfies matter a lot, look elsewhere, but for pure endurance and value? Thumbs up from me.
Planning to grab one during the sale starting December 23? Or comparing it to Moto/Poco options? Let me know in the comments!
